The Inspiration
In the delicate world of microscopic plant cells, scientific enquiry intertwines with artistic expression revealing a captivating tapestry of organic beauty. This glimpse into the intricate beauty of natures design is an examination of repeating organic units in a kaleidoscope of colour and pattern. Within the delicate balance of form and function, each cell embodies purpose, a display of harmony and rhythm, where no two cells are exactly alike. Every cell unique but also part of a greater whole creating a sense of unity of interconnectedness and interdependence.

The Collection
This collection consists of three dramatic silver rings. Each ring has the addition of a single bright colour using cold enamel or red round cut garnets. As the hand moves, the vibrant colour appears, creating a dynamic visual experience.
The silver is forged into graceful curves followed through with an innovative curved ring band design which ensures each ring stays on the finger where it is intended.
Full of contrasts, this collection juxtaposes vibrant red with calming blue, frosted silver against glossy enamel, and the sparkle of cut stones and the high polish of the back of each ring.
Inspired by the intricate beauty of microscopic images of living organisms, my work explores organic forms through a dynamic process involving drawing, paper and metal. Through many iterations, I strive to capture and perfect the essence of these natural structures, transforming scientific observation into artistic expression.
